About

Hello there, welcome to my page!

So this is the "About" section. If you clicked here than you probably want to know WHAT exactly is my blog all about? Well the anwser to that is the title...

ASPIRING K-POP TRAINEE: I JUST WANT TO BE A K-POP STAR!!!

And there you have it! Simple and easy as that, really I don't have to go into more detail because I think the first anwser was self-explanatory. BUT for those that want to go in a little deeper than.....I can explain it even more. BUT before I get into that lets start off with some brief history shall we? ^_^

My name is Olivia! I am from a small town in SC, USA and I am unhealthy obsessively in LOVE with K-pop. I had no one introduce me to K-pop I just kinda....we just kinda bumped into each other. I didn't start getting into K-pop through actual K-pop NO...I was watching a movie called "Ninja Assassins" and Rain(비) was the main character of the movie. Long story short, Great movie! Rain's HOT! fell in love instantly! I just had to find out more about this man. So, I searched him up and found out he was a singer/dancer/producer/business man/instrumentalist/choreographer/CEO/etc...(well you get my point lol)  But after that I left it alone and just didn't go back it. Well it wasn't until that next year, the summer of 2010, I was like let me go check him out again and that's when I watched my 1st K-pop MV. It was "Love Song".

After this...the rest is history! I started my unhealthy obsessively love with K-pop.

So fast forward a bit to 2011. At this point in my life I am pretty deep into K-pop, at this point it's apart of my life now. It was this year where I started to have thoughts of becoming a K-pop idol. So, like anybody else. I started researching and looking for companies to audition for and what I had to do to audition. At first I didn't pay attention to my race because the last thing I thought that wouldn't be the reason why I wouldn't get picked. I thought that if I didn't get picked it was because I wasn't talented enough. It wasn't until I started reading comments that other people wrote saying that "non-Asians can't become K-pop stars/idols because they aren't Asian, and it wouldn't look right". "Korea is a RACIST country and they would give the non-Asian SO MUCH hate". "If non-Asians joined K-pop then it wouldn't be K-pop". These are some of the many comments that people wrote and I actually started to believe them. Besides, there are really no non-Asians in the game to represent so I thought maybe what these people were saying was true. But despite ALL the negative comments I auditioned anyway. So far I have auditioned for 4 companies and plan to audition more. But after going to my auditions and doing more research and just knowing what I know to be true, I started to believe that these comments THEY AREN'T TRUE!!! and that is what this blog is about!

I created this blog as a way to encourage people of ALL RACES to follow their dreams no matter what it is or what others may think/say about it! During the times when I was auditioning I wanted a site or blog or SOMETHING to give me some kind of hope. some kind of encouragement that would let me know what I'm doing is NOT hopeless or stupid and that if I REALLY worked hard at this then I could achieve it! I couldn't find many sites like that (I actually didn't find any) so I created my own. I feel like a BUNCH of people are going through the same thing I was (still am) going through. I want this blog to be your assurance that YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU SET YOU MIND TO!

My Motto:
"I can do ALL things through Christ, he strengths me"
-Philippians 4:13 NKJV-

IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT!

If you come to my blog sadden, disappointed, unsure I hope you leave with a new passion that's a burning fire in your heart.

Thank You!
