Inspirational Sunday's - STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS!!!

Hii Guys! I'm back with another one of these "Inspirational Sunday's". I think some people really liked the first one and it is really therapeutic for me and I think it could be therapeutic to others as well

So lately....I have been going through a little mini depression. And it's not like this is the first time this happens but I'm mad at myself because I still keep letting it happen! Lately I have been looking into starting a music career and exactly how I should go about it and trying to find out what exactly my type of "style" of music I want to make would be. So like anyone else I go to look for artist that I really like and look up to in the music industry. And one of those people that I have been getting into latley is Rihanana! Before I liked Rihanna and I thought she was a talented and pretty woman but NOW I AM OBSESSED WITH HER! I have just been looking at her stories and her success and how she got started in the music industry. Well beside her I have been looking at younger up-coming artist like Justine Skye, Kash Doll, Sevyn Streeter, etc... and I was just looking at their success and began to compare myself with them. Especially with Justine Skye, she is a year younger than me but is already WAY MORE successful than I am right now. I also started to compare myself with Alex of RANIA and looking at her success and we are the SAME AGE!!! I'm not gonna lie I go jealous because.....THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME!!! If I worked hard enough, if I was more active in the industry, if I had more connections....that could have been me. I just....I feel like ALL THESE YEARS I've just been wasting time! Time that I could have put into my career...I'm 21 going to be 22 this year and I'm already SOOOO LATE in the game I don't even feel like I'll catch up... I feel like I've been so lazy because I've been slacking up on missed opportunities. To tell you the truth...I feel that way right now... and I know I shouldn't compare myself to other because...these are ALL DIFFERENT LIVES and I can't compare my hustle to next hustle. They just worked with what they had and that's why they have the success the have. I just gotta work with what I got and get my success as well BUT I just wish that it didn't take this long for to find that out.

Because I have grown up in a small town and if you want to be in the entertainment business there aren't a lots of opportunities for that where I'm from. And my mother doesn't know anything about the business. She didn't have connections or anything like that. She was a single mom trying to provide for family. She didn't really have the time or the money to do stuff like that. Plus, since she didn't know anything about the business she couldn't give me any advice on how to go about it. But she always supported me in dreams and she always keep me motivated to continue to do it. So as a child I never thought that my dreams could be possible. I knew I wanted to be a pop-star like Rihanna and Beyonce but I didn't know how to go about and I lacked resources so I just never had it as an option. But it wasn't until I got into K-pop and seeing that I could go to auditions and they could train me to become a pop-star and that was the only time that I thought my dream could be somewhat possible and I could make it an actual reality. So I have been auditioning for several companies now and I'm still auditioning but its getting to the point where I am just becoming very IMPATIENCE! Idols are starting to debut at younger and younger ages so that alone makes me feel like..."WHAT EXACTLY AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE RIGHT NOW?!?!?" and I'm just start to feel....OLD.....I feel old and I feel like if I haven't made it by now than there is no more need in trying anymore.

BUT you know what?! I HAVE TO STOP COMPARING MYSELF WITH OTHERS!!!! Everyone's life is different and God has different plans for ALL OF US! So what he has in store for me is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than what he has for someone else. What God gave them was THEIR blessing and now I have to get MY OWN blessing. I can't compare myself. When I do that I just like I am stuck in time and the world is just leaving behind............................... But I know better now that I can't compare myself to someone else. They live a completely different life, and had completely different opportunities. They worked hard so I have to work hard too. ^_^

Inspirational quotes of the day is.....

“You will be bitter in life, when you compare yourself with others.Run the race of life at your own pace.”

“Comparison is the death of joy.”
                 ― Mark Twain

“I cannot say this too strongly: Do not compare yourselves to others. Be true to who you are, and continue to learn with all your might.”
― Daisaku Ikeda, Discussions on Youth

“People have one thing in common; they are all different.”
                ~ Robert Zend

“Until you make peace with who you are, you’ll never be content with what you have.”

Stop Comparing Yourself With Others

Lesson to learn:
You may think everyone is better than you are, but you are only seeing the image they portray to others. Everyone has their own fears and weaknesses — after all, we're all human. Stop comparing yourself to others, because you'll always come up short.

A Message From One Korean About Alex of RANIA and K-pop: What They Had To Say

Hii Guyz! I'm back with another one today ^_^  This particular blog post I'm very interested in because it hits on some really good points and I hope that it gives some insight into what Koreans think about Non-Asians in K-pop.

With that being said.....LET'S GET STARTED!!! First, read the passage and then I'll give my input at the end Y'ALL KNOW HOW THIS WORKS! ENJOY!!!

Key:
*** : very important

1/1. As a Korean living in Korea I want to say a few things and it may be long hope that's okay. 1) Foreigners have been auditiong here for years so Alex's introduction is not going to be the key for letting non Koreans take a chance at kpop. It has always been up to the company whether or not to let a foreigner in and it will remain this way, Alex or no Alex. Have any of you been to an SM audition? A JYP audition? Do you know that these happen frequently enough outside Korea?

2/ 2. Alex didn’t come here and try to get into kpop with a wrapped obsession, she was scouted and asked to join a group that is known to often include non Koreans. She is not Chad Future who everyone here knows as a shitty whitehead (ouch) who has no respect for us and threw money around and connections. His disrespectful actions here you probably know nothing about. Comparing him to Alex is not right.

***3/ 3.Why do you keep saying kpop is a safe space for Asians? Why do you treat us as a small untouched group of people trying to live in seclusion from the world and it is your job to keep us this way? it is condescending. Kpop is a music genre, one influenced by other cultures and musical styles like so many other genres, we just have added our touch.

4/ Talking this over with friends we have come to see that maybe you take this approach because there are people in the Black community who only want their music to stay within their community. We are largely not like that, only the racists here care about that. These are the same who also do not welcome other Asians because contrary to what some people who post here think we Asians are not all one body. There is no Asian music here, no Asian community here.

***5/ We are all different people with different cultures. It seems many of you would like to keep us Asians who live in Asia closed off to accepting anyone outside the continent. We will not learn and be rid of ignorance with that practice, also when you hear of the prejudice and racism towards Black people here you will be among the first to call us out for it, yet you are also among the first to insist we keep to ourself and our “safe” Asian place within Asia. You contradict yourselves.

***6 /5 Alex is Black and it seems there are more of us Koreans oh and Asians, rooting for her than those in her own community. It is sad that you have to dig so deep to defend something that is not even yours, when your focus should be on supporting someone from your own community.

***7/ 6. Stop speaking for us. We do not need you to speak for us as you do it while speaking over us. If you think kpop should only be for Asians then why are you a kpop fan with so much to say about the industry and us? We are not a subclass of humans who need you to treat us like babies while you disregard us at the same time. (end, thank you for posting this).

WOW!.....(taking it in).....now, let's talk about it!

MY THOUGHTS

PREACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything this person said is absolute TRUTH! but the fact that it had to get to this point is absolutely ridiculous! They posted this on the Black K-pop Fans Blog and I think that every topic this person brought up they hit home and scratched at the surface issues that have been pretty big up until now. The parts that I highlighted I highlighted them because these are major issues that the k-pop community have been fighting about and they really make you think. It is sad that Koreans have less of a problem with Non-Asians being K-pop idols than Non-Asians! KOREANS SUPPORT ALEX MORE THAN WE DO!!! what's up with that!!! I think this person's input really helped break it down and I am thank to this person for posting this.

So let me know in the comments what are your thoughts? What do you think about what this Korean person said? Do you agree or disagree? Why and why not?

Alright guys y'all stay blessed and safe MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

PROOF! That Non-Asians CAN become idols/stars in the Korean entertainment industry - PART 2

Hey so I'm BACK with another post and this is just adding the pervious one I made. If you haven't checked it out yet here's a link--->

So...I got A LOT to talk about and I am SUPER EXCITED to discuss it with you guys. I might make a video after I finish this later...idk

anyways...LET'S GET STARTED!!!!

This right here is the ULTIMATE PROOF that Non-Asians CAN indeed become K-pop idols!

If you don't know by now RANIA is a K-pop girl group and they just came back with the addition of 3 new members and one of those members just happens to be NON-ASIAN!!!

Okay if there is anyone confused don't worry I'm gonna break it down for ya ^_~

HISTORY LESSON!!!

Rania (Hangul: 라니아, stylized as RaNia or RANIA, shortened from Regeneration Idol of Asia) is a South Korean girl group formed by DR Music in 2010. The group was initially produced by American Teddy Riley[1] with their first debut single "Dr. Feel Good" in 2011.[2] Although the group is South Korean, former members Joy is Thai descent,[3][4] and Riko was raised in Japan.[1] The current members includes Di, T-ae, Xia, Alex, Hyeme and Seulji.

(This is a picture of the original members of RANIA)

Also, when RANIA was being created they first started off with plans for the group to become the third generation of BABY V.O.X but than they changed the idea and created RANIA. They had plans for RANIA to become global idols they even thought of adding a black member back then when RANIA was first created.

(allkpop

RANIA Introduces New Black American Member and Releases Teaser for “Demonstrate”Agency DR Music has announced that the girl group RANIA has recruited a black member named Alexandra Reid to the group.

Alexandra, age 21, is a rapper hailing from the U.S. Her father is white and her mother is black. She was born in Kansas and has lived in New York and Texas. She was part of the American record label Def Jam (housing Kanye West, Ludacris, and Justin Beiber, among others currently) starting from when she was 15 years old. Alexandra was preparing to debut with the help of her manager Scott (who formerly managed Rihanna and currently manages Bruno Mars, according to DR Music), when she came to know RANIA and signed on to become an official member.

Alexandra also starred in Jamie Foxx‘s “You Changed Me” music video, and she is said to boast top rapping skills. In regards to her composition skills, she has worked with Alex Dakid, who has worked with Eminem, and JR Rotem, who has worked with Britney Spears.

According to DR Music, Alexandra became interested in K-pop through YouTube and decided to come to Korea and be part of the K-pop scene through this opportunity with RANIA.

Because of visa issues, Alexandra was only able to join the group in Korea last month, but is currently preparing hard to promote with the group and is looking forward to going on TV.

Viewers will be able to start seeing Alexandra performing November 5, through RANIA’s “Demonstrate” comeback on “M!Countdown.”

(Soompi 2015)

Here are the teasers with Alexandra and the live version of the song on M! Countdown

OKAY! You all caught up now? GREAT! so let's talk about this ^_^

MY THOUGHTS:

My thoughts on this are....I LOVE IT!!! I am super excited and happy that she got this amazing opportunity! For years non-Asian people (including me) have been trying to break through into the industry and for her to actually do it I just feel like this is an accomplishment that carries so much meaning and depth that can't be described. This not only proves that non-Asians CAN become k-pop idols, it also proves that EVERYTHING negative that was said before is WRONG! ANYONE CAN BE A K-POP STAR!!! and this PROVES IT!!!

So far she is getting a lot of love from people BUT MOST of the hate comes from non-Asian K-pop fans...What does that tell you?

I can't wait to see how this plays out and the rest of RANIA's future endeavors. I will support the group like I always have. ^_^

Let me know in the comments how this makes you feel? Do you like it? Do you hate it? if so, why?
